Considering the switch from wood to pellet stoves

I've been heating with a wood burning stove for a while now, and I'm starting to think about switching to a pellet stove. I like the traditional feel and the smell of burning wood, but the daily effort of splitting, storing, and feeding the stove has me wondering if pellets might be a more practical option, especially during the coldest months. And many times, the wood doesn't last through the night and the house gets really cold by morning. I actually got the pellet advice from my cousin but since its electrical I feel it will be harder to maintain. I think it will be easier to hear from people that have actually used pellets or both since I'm using wood so it will be easier to make an informed decision

@caldwell504 you're right about the electrical parts, but the maintenance isn't necessarily harder, just different.
Instead of splitting and stacking wood, you'll be focused on cleaning.
Pellet stoves require daily cleaning of the burn pot and occasional vacuuming of the ash chamber. It's a quick, clean job compared to hauling wood. The electrical components are generally very reliable, so don't let that be the deciding factor
