So… I got ambitious and decided to freshen up my old wood stove with a new coat of paint, heck I thought I was doing it right, masked everything off, prepped the surface, sprayed it nice and smooth, the only problem? I just realized after the fact that the paint I used wasn't rated for high temps, first fire and it's already starting to bubble and stink guys, I'm so pained I've been laughing and its not even funny
Lesson learned the hard way, do I need to strip it all the way back to bare metal before hitting it with proper stove paint, or can I get away with sanding and recoating? very much open to tips, product recs, and cautionary tales
