Deck fire pit

THe biggest remodeling I did on my cabin was the deck and I'm looking to add some atmosphere with a log burner for outside, so I'm looking for some advice and potential model ideas?

With you new deck at the cabin, I think a log burner fire pit is a fantastic idea!
I just want to start by emphasizing the need to prioritize safety with any model you choose as deck fires are no joke!
Make sure whatever you choose has significant clearance from the deck surface, both underneath and around the sides.
Look for models with integrated heat shields or better yet, plan on placing it on a non-combustible pad like concrete pavers or a specialized fire pit mat.
A spark screen is non-negotiable for me as embers are the real danger!

Nice idea. I added a Solo Stove Bonfire to my deck last year and it's been a game-changer since it puts out heat with almost zero smoke. If you want more of a classic log burner look, I suggest you look into Bluegrass Living or Pleasant Hearth models too.

I get the appeal, but I've found the Solo Stove underwhelming, it is great for low smoke, sure, but it doesn't throw as much heat as a traditional fire pit, I prefer open flame.

I recommend something genuinely safe and convenient on a deck. I'd strongly recommend ditching the 'log burner' idea and going with a propane fire pit.
They got instant ambiance, no smoke in your eyes, and zero risk of embers igniting your deck. Brands like Outland Living, Solo Stove or even Napoleon have some great looking, high quality propane options that'll give you that fire element safely
