I got a nice fireplace at home, but the wall is still plain and boring (just a white wall).

I'm thinking about putting stones on the wall, maybe it would be cool

What do you think guys, does anyone have other ideas on how to make the wall look nicer?

I found myself in a similar situation last year. Using stone veneer is a great choice—it brings in some texture and really makes the fireplace stand out. If that's not your style, you might consider a dark accent paint or some wood paneling around it. These small upgrades can make a huge difference. Fireplace remodel before and after transformations really highlights how impactful these changes can be for the overall space

A couple of winters back, I thought it'd be a nice surprise for my wife while she was gone for the weekend. I ended up putting a stacked stone veneer around our old fireplace. It took me two days, left me with a sore back, and I used way more mortar than I thought I would, but when she came home and saw it, she actually got emotional. That wall transformed from dull to the coziest spot in our home. It was absolutely worth it

If you wanna shake it up, consider shiplap, reclaimed wood, or even a bold tile. Just don't leave it plain white; it deserves better
